Create a global Nexon account

Separate from Korean Nexon accounts. Flip through the picture book.

1

Open the sign-up page

Tap this link and sign up on the left. Do not use the Google/Facebook/Apple buttons.

Korea is not in the list; picking another country is a Terms risk.

Do this

  1. Sign up on the Nexon sign-up page → verify email → 2-step.
  2. Unverified accounts cannot log in.
Before you start

Korea is not in the country list; Nexon expects it to match where you are, so another country is a Terms risk.

Prepare a VPN / route

Korea is not a Global MapleStory region, so you connect through an overseas route. Pick one below.

How to set it up · pick one

Install Proton VPN1 / 6
1

Download page

Tap this link, then Download for Windows.

Do this

  1. Once connected, open the launcher. Don't switch servers mid-game.
  2. Server location is unpublished — keep whichever region connects with the lowest ping.
Before you start

Nexon: VPNs aren't banned, but using one to break the Terms can mean a ban and trouble with purchases or item recovery.

Overlays or "Korean patches" can trigger anti-cheat; real-money trading breaks the Terms.

Trading & party etiquette

Free Market shops and megaphone trading are busy — check prices first.

Do this

  1. Megaphone shorthand: S> sell · B> buy · PMO · obo · ea · c/o.
  2. Always verify both sides in the trade window; "send first" requests are usually scams.
  3. Use the party finder and the English chat helper.
